Finale

This morning was our last show :( it started at 1 but we had to be there by 11:30. I think it was over and we were out by like 2:30. Im sad that its over but i think ill be back next year. Everyone wants a dance show.

Dress Rehearsal

Today was the dress rehearsal for our show. Tomorrow is opening night!!!!! I screamed again in practice today and everyone said it was quite good and scary. It was scary when right after i had finished screaming and started my small monologue, this scary looking guy came out from downstage left, and he looked like a cross between Gandalf, and the mysterious man, but with a very good wig. But he was very tall so i thought it was the girl playing the mysterious man, but with a good wig, on stilts. He scared everyone there but it turned out he was Mariahs dad.

Off

We had to be off script by today. I was. I even screamed well at the right time. We did choreography for the last numbers today. My feet really hurt.

Church

Today we went to church and it was a potluck and now I don't feel good cuz i was spinning around.

Sleeeeep

I actually slept for almost 12 hours last night. Amazingly, Im still tired.

I should be working on my lines because we have to be off script by Monday, but I don't feel like it right now.

Today was a really bad day. Someone took my iPod, which my dad gave to me as a gift, and my wallet, which had a significant amount of money on it. Opening night is a week from yesterday.

Costumes Cont'd

Well we all got to see our costumes today. Mine was UGLY. It was salmon pink, and long and loose and long sleeves and then short poofy green ish brown sleeves that were short over that. Then there was a very beautiful white apron to go with it. First they saw me in just the dress, then the dress and the apron, and then just the apron on over my street clothes. The dress was pretty bad, but it looked worse with the apron over it. They said they would look for something better, they didn't want to have to take me out of rehearsal to pin it and stuff. The apron looked good over the white dress i was wearing.

Costumes

Dr. T says that they went to the costumer yesterday, and they will start bringing costumes in tomorrow. The first show is a week from tomorrow and we have already blocked all the scenes.

Phone

Yay!!!! I got a phone!!!! Also, Musical Theater Camp started!!!!!!! Today after camp Greg and I rode on the metro and then Mom picked us up and we went to Suitland and I got my ID picture taken.

Swedish Fish, Kickball, Pupusas

Yesterday evening we went to a new Rita's by our house, and I had the Swedish Fish ice. It was very good. I reallllly liked it. Then I went to kickball with Kolbe's friends. It wasn't very fun. Then today after church we went with Greg's godfather to the Native American museum. We looked at a few exhibits and Kolbe and I started some songs. We had lunch at the food court there, which was pretty good. I had pupusas, chile fries, chocolate milk, and key lime pie.

Uniform

Today I got some uniform clothes. I still need uniform polos with the school logo, but mom will take me to get them later. My legs hurt and I am tired.

Demo Day

Today was demo day. It was good. I am realllly tired now. The dance we did was really tiring, and I was sweating afterward. We had fun with PhotoBooth during our break.

Hiccups

I have the hiccups right now, which is unusual for me. As a musician I have special breathing exercises to get rid of them.

This week I have been practicing Habanera (Bizet), an Irish Reel, a Minuet, a Bouree, and Caprices 2,3,4,15 (Paganini).

High School

Im having mixed feelings about high school. I want to go, but I don't want to go. I would like new friends, but im scared I won't be able to make any. I think I do want to go.

St. James Day

Today was St. James Day. We just got back. It was very good. I don't feel very well now. They ran out of drinks fairly quickly. I helped out in the nursery with a baby named Margaret. Stephen looked like he needed a hug. His baby Peter may get better soon. The prognosis is good. His wife got out of the hospital last night.

Bleu

Well. Yesterday after camp ended, Me, Kolbe, and Devonte got on the blue line and then switched to the green line and went to Hyattsville, where I met Lu, and we went to her house. Then we went to the pool a bit later. I stayed over night. We watched Father of the Bride 2. It was pretty good. This morning Mom picked me up at 7:30, and we went home. I got to spend a little time with Grandma and Grandpa before they left. This morning Dad took me and Greg to the beach. Kolbe is at Flora's, she had a sleepover too. The beach was really fun. I am reading "someone Like You" by Sarah Dessen. It is very good. She is a good author (Lu agrees).

Helping Out

I helped out an old lady from church after camp today. My duties included helping her up stairs, making beds, looking for a cat named Boris, and scrubbing aforementioned cat's vomit off of carpets. I achieved my assisting the elderly badge!!!! (lol jk)

It was actually kind of fun. It kept me from being busy and hanging around CHAW all afternoon.

Black Eye???

So this morning I woke up and my eye was stuck shut. Now its turning into a black eye. Im really confused....I don't know whats going on!!!

Appalachia

Now CHAW is into Camp Appallachia, and my position was moved, so now i work with slightly older kids than i used to.
