Hiccups

I have the hiccups right now, which is unusual for me. As a musician I have special breathing exercises to get rid of them.

This week I have been practicing Habanera (Bizet), an Irish Reel, a Minuet, a Bouree, and Caprices 2,3,4,15 (Paganini).

High School

Im having mixed feelings about high school. I want to go, but I don't want to go. I would like new friends, but im scared I won't be able to make any. I think I do want to go.

St. James Day

Today was St. James Day. We just got back. It was very good. I don't feel very well now. They ran out of drinks fairly quickly. I helped out in the nursery with a baby named Margaret. Stephen looked like he needed a hug. His baby Peter may get better soon. The prognosis is good. His wife got out of the hospital last night.

Bleu

Well. Yesterday after camp ended, Me, Kolbe, and Devonte got on the blue line and then switched to the green line and went to Hyattsville, where I met Lu, and we went to her house. Then we went to the pool a bit later. I stayed over night. We watched Father of the Bride 2. It was pretty good. This morning Mom picked me up at 7:30, and we went home. I got to spend a little time with Grandma and Grandpa before they left. This morning Dad took me and Greg to the beach. Kolbe is at Flora's, she had a sleepover too. The beach was really fun. I am reading "someone Like You" by Sarah Dessen. It is very good. She is a good author (Lu agrees).

Helping Out

I helped out an old lady from church after camp today. My duties included helping her up stairs, making beds, looking for a cat named Boris, and scrubbing aforementioned cat's vomit off of carpets. I achieved my assisting the elderly badge!!!! (lol jk)

It was actually kind of fun. It kept me from being busy and hanging around CHAW all afternoon.

Black Eye???

So this morning I woke up and my eye was stuck shut. Now its turning into a black eye. Im really confused....I don't know whats going on!!!

Appalachia

Now CHAW is into Camp Appallachia, and my position was moved, so now i work with slightly older kids than i used to.

Harry Potter/Otakon

Today we saw the new Harry Potter movie. It was okay. a bit boring in the middle. It was really long, like 3 hours. Kolbe brought Flo and Alaphia, and Greg brought Michael and Clara. I didn't bring anyone, cuz there wasn't enough room in the car.

And yesterday when we were in Baltimore to go to the Book Thing, we drove past Otakon and it was really cool.

Camp Mexico ended today. I did not go to demo day. Camp Appalachia is the next two weeks.

Tonight is opening night for the Musical Theatre Camp (Dr. T's camp) which sadly *tear* i am not in this year. I may see the show tomorrow afternoon, if mother permits.

Beach

We just got back from a day at the beach with the Meaker/Moores. It was fun. We had fried chicken for lunch. We also had fruit and cole slaw and stuff. There were barely any waves. :(

Camp Mexico started today and it is going well. There are not as many kids in my group now, and they are pretty much calmer than Group Naples was. Now we are Group Mexicali.

Camp is fun. Okay...not much else is going on.

C-H-A-W

Camp started today, and it is very tiring. We must wake up early to get to DC in time to open up for kids to arrive. I am working with a group of thirteen 5-6 year olds and one other counselor (im a CIT). The first two weeks' theme is Italy.

Summer Rain

We went out this morning, shopping at the town center. Old Navy was having a sale so we went there but I didn't buy anything. I bought some Pucca and Sweet Tea and a Smencil at Five Below and then I had a Venti Vanilla Bean at Starbucks.

Graduation

I graduated last night. Everyone told me how beautiful I looked. It was a good graduation. Everyone looked nice. I don't know what to say....the seventh graders had a surprise for us, and it was a video with a seventh grader talking about each of us.

Almost the end of Net Week

Net Week is coming to a close.......So much has been happening at certain times, while at other times we sit around being bored. The Orchestra Played at the Volunteer Tea this afternoon from 2-3:30ish. We got food afterward, and I had taken a very nice picture of the Jazz Band saxophonists at our outdoor concert and I gave it to Mr. Davis. He liked it. I got my yearbook all signed and whatnot today, and it is very full. Tomorrow I am going to wear my very great outfit to school. AAA GRADUATION IS TOMORROW! oh yeah yesterday I went to French Immersion Graduation.

Net Week

I just feel like calling the last week of school Net Week. During Net Week, the eighth graders are nostalgic, the little kids are easily injured, the teachers are rushed and OCD, and everyone cries.

Up

We went with dad to see Up today and it was extremely depressing and I don't want to talk about it. My jeans fit.

Mall

Some friends and I went to the mall today and i bought some shutter shades for me and a friend, blue and pink zebra stripe jeans, two graphic tees and some lip gloss....i think that was it.

YMCA Camp Letts

I am back from the class trip to Camp. We saw Horseshoe Crabs mating. The water was pretty cool but it was still a bunch of fun. They let us go in the pool. The first night Julia told a really scary story and I was up really late, but last night I slept really well. At one point last night our science teacher was dancing around a cabin with a towel on her head, shaking her butt and dancing and singing "Baby Got Back".
Wow.

Sick Again and Camp Tomorrow

I had to go back to the Nurse today and I laid down for a while (about an hour).

So Jack and Jill went up the hill with their full water pail. When they got to the top (or a bit before), Jack fell down and went down the hill, but Jill stayed at the top where he couldn't see her. Jane was waiting for someone at the bottom of the hill when Jack came down. She introduced herself and they became quick friends. When Jack fell down the hill, some of the water from the pail spilled onto Jane, so she offered to go back up the hill with him to fill it back up. He told her that he had to go home, but he would let her know later. The next few days Jane did not see Jack, but she did see Jill. When she went to the hill to wait for Jack, he did not come. She was determined to help Jack fill up his pail, because she was very thirsty. A few days later, Joe and Jenny told Jane that they saw Jack at the bottom of the hill. Jane ran to the hill, but she did not see Jack. She walked up the hill, and she saw Jack and Jill together, filling up their pail. Jane got quite upset, and now plans to ask Jack for her pail back.

Sick

I had a strange cough this morning, and I was feeling dizzy and my hands were cold in science class (second mod). Also, My vision was a bit blurry. Then during Spanish class(third mod) , I felt very hot, so I turned to Melissa and asked her if my forehead was hot, she felt it and said yes. I went to the Nurse, who told me I had a fever, then Mom's office was called and I was taken home.

The dance was last night. It wasn't bad. I'm really tired. My leg muscles hurt. I'm bored. None of my friends are online. My aunt is visiting.

Tonight

Tonight is the school dance, the last of the year, and the last (for me) at this school. Too bad like NONE OF MY FRIENDS are coming (well some are).

So today one of the first people I saw was Joe Jonas. In a unitard. Dancing around my computer screen. It was an interesting, humorous, strange but effective way to wake up.

Friendly at Friendly's

So tonight my mom took me and my sister out to Friendly's for dinner to celebrate not having to see our psychiatrist anymore, and while we were there I am SURE that the people there thought we were weird. It was my fault, actually, because right in the booth I told my family about my superpowers for the first time, and I really was serious, but my sister burst out laughing and had an emotional breakdown into hysteria. I really was serious. So we excused ourselves to the restroom to talk about my powers, but we didn't realize that there was a woman in the bathroom stall who was listening to us!

Interviews

For one Language Arts project we do every year, the teacher brings in people to interview us. We get all dressed up and nervous and then we get interviewed. If you don't dress according to the rules you can't get interviewed.

The French Immersion doesn't understand this project at all.

We got the news today that our Principal, Ms. J, died.

We don't know why.

Concerts were canceled.

Grief Counselors tomorrow.

I am home from Philly. My best guy friend's dad is engaged (congratulations, Mr. S!), I got approval of my graduation dress (smokey blue knee length silk Calvin Klein), and I have a sore throat. This morning I saw Every Little Step, which was a REALLY GOOD MOVIE (Jason Tham was amazing).

CONCERT!

Sooooooo last night was the Big Finish, the last concert of the year, which doubles as an awards ceremony for the Eighth Graders (the graduates). There were awards for Pleasantly Professional, Solid as a Rock, Most Musical, Most Improved, Directors Award, and some others. One or two kids each from band and orchestra win an award, and I was the only orchestra kid to win.....


MOST IMPROVED!!!!!!
I am really happy that I won something and I was REALLY REALLY REALLY surprised!!!!!

Booooooringggggg

Today was really boring. The HSA is tomorrow, Career Day (blechhhhh) is Thursday, and for little kids Friday is Field Day, but I am going to Philly for the long weekend and Middle Schoolers don't get to do Field Day anyway. Concert tomorrow. Last of the year. Tsegball test today in gym was fairly easy.

Leg Muscles

My leg muscles are really achy. So is my back. Last night we watched 100 Greatest Songs From the 90s. It was REALLY FUNNY. Beth from church gave us clothes today.

Back from the Party

I am back from the party. It was a great deal of fun. She liked the gifts I got her which were a funny card, a t shirt from Wet Seal and lip gloss. I am really tired. Friday's lesson went well.

My concert is over. Mom videotaped it. Soon to be on YouTube. Solo was awesome. Jazz band solos great. We danced in the background. Jazz hands and snaps, plus the "Laurel Wrist".

Pues.......

Today I peeled a bunch of skin off the tip of my left index finger, where I place it on the strings. My concert is tomorrow and I am REALLY EXCITED and also kinda NERVOUS because have a jazzy SOLO!

Too Much

I did too much walking and shopping today. This morning I was at the Town Center (like a GIANT strip mall) for about 4 hours with my sister and her friends, then I went to the mall with my dad and brother in the afternoon. I got stuff, including something for my mom for mothers day.

Friday

Yay...its Friday...again. Today was weird. Nothing especially strange happened, but I found it weird. Which was weird. Most of the orchestra class spent the afternoon shooting my Therma-band or going around listening o everyone scream " nobody loves me!!!" and then hugging them.

X Rays

I am getting more X Rays tomorrow to examine and check up on my broken foot/chipped ankle. Hopefully it will go well since I will be missing most of school.

Bruises

My legs are all covered in bruises and scratches, and I don't know why. I seriously have no clue! Its freaking ME out (lol 17 Again)!

Im Ba-ack!

Im back from Boston. It was loads of fun. Jazz band got GOLD!!!!!!!!! and Band and Orchestra both got SILVER (thats still really good cuz there were barely any middle schools there)!!!!! I am really tired and my not broken leg is killing me (pills dont help). But I had SO MUCH FUN!!!!!
My opinion on Boston:
It's like New York only less crowded and more quiet.

Today was 3rd Quarter Report Card Day (extended for technical difficulties). I got All As except for 2 Bs.

Today in my lesson Justin made me say jingles. I did Empire, Frosted Flakes, Midas Touch, Bath Fitter, Mattress Warehouse, and the beginning of the Spongebob Song.

Mint-y

Lu gave me some good gum. It is Orbit Mint Mojito. I really like it. It has a weird taste, but in a good way. Hung out with the soccer team while waiting to get picked up after school today.

Elevator Key

Ms. H confiscated the E.K. from Aaron after we were late to class and gave it to me. Haha! Today was also the first day of P.E. and the first day of 4th Quarter. Waaah! School is almost over.

Back to the Mall

I am going to do more shopping today. Yay! My dad's cousin will rewrite me a birthday check from last year that I never cashed!

Hiking

I went hiking this morning, which was not the best choice for a person on crutches.

Mac and Cheese

Mom has a meeting tonight, so we're just having Mac and Cheese. The math teacher was being extremely mean to me today for absolutely no reason at all. Seriously. Had interesting conversations with members of the boys' and girls' soccer teams at school.

Recycled

For our science class we have to do a project, and the option that I chose was to make an article of clothing out of recyclable stuff. So the group I was in assigned me (with my permission) to create a skirt made from Sun Chip bags hot-glued onto a trash bag. Part of the deal was that they would supply the chip bags. And now they are telling me that we can't do the chip bag skirt that I WAS EXCITED ABOUT because their parents won't get them the chips. How wonderful.

Back 2 Skool After Break

Today was the first day back at school after spring break. Kids were pretty normal, no one was really rowdy. The weather was pretty gray today, it rained a little this morning. I was grumpy in the afternoon, and the ice in my Iceman machine was really really cold (a little redundant, but I mean it was WAY colder than usual). My foot turned red. Tortellini for dinner, which was tasty.

Shopping Spree

I had a shopping spree at the mall today. We went to Sephora, Aeropostale, and Hot Topic. It was so much fun! I had a great time.

Easter cont'd

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today is Easter! I love Easter. We went to Midnight Mass. It didn't last til midnight but we got home at midnight. I woke up early for a change today. At 6:30.

I am SOOO bored. All I can do I go to church and practice my caprices. And I is so loud here. I can't concentrate on anything! AARGH!!!

Late Birthday Present

For a late birthday present today, Dad took me to Dale Music in Silver Spring, where we picked up a book of the 24 Paganini Caprice's for Viola. It was a nice surprise. He also gave me a CD of Paganini Caprice's on Viola played by Slapin. Then we went for milkshakes at Coldstone.

Tar-jay

We went to Target today. Tae came over. I bought a Seventeen and a pack of Cobalt. My foot was bothering me. I iced it. Mom is setting up Easter baskets.

Museums and Wheelchairs

Today we went to the Holocaust Museum and the Museum of American History. It was cold today. Chilly and windy. I got to use a wheelchair at each museum. It was fun! I had an audition for CHAW tonight. It was fine. I hate to talk about auditions after they are over.

Shleepy

I am very sleepy today. I have a hard time sleeping on the floor of my sister's room. Oh well. Its just for spring break!

More Meds

Well, a chip from my ankle came off. The doctors have increased my dose of ibuprofen to 600 mg, and have given me a new prescription for codine. I am still taking my cephalexin. My private lesson went well today. I played the whole piece and then some. There was a whole bunch of boxes on the elevator today. We missed about half of Spanish class. It clearly says no freight!

Early Birthday=Early Easter!

I had the family birthday party today. We had salmon and mashed potatoes and German chocolate cake. Grandma made the food. She had dinner with us. It was good! We also had coffee and Neapolitan ice cream. I got a BIG basket filled with candy!:
