First Day

Today was a good first day of school. I feel good about this year. I am in a special L.A. class. It is a Honors class. I have all my classes with Aaron and Preethi. There were lots of new kids. That is good because new kids means new friends.

School

Tomorrow is the first day of school. I am happy, except we have to ride the bus this year.

Party

Today we are going to the party in P.A. at 1:30. I am haappy for this, but I do not like car trips.

Tomorrow...

Tomorrow we are going to a crab'n'corn fest with a pool included. I am very excited. I like the Olympics.

Nothing

I have nothing to say today. My walls are white, the curtains are beige, the desk is green, the wood is all light wood, the sheets are pink checks.

New Room

I got my own room yesterday. Yay! Finally! I am moved in, but not moved out of my old room. We picked peaches this morning at Larriland.

Honey

This morning I had bread and honey for breakfast. I had a headache last night. Mom is making cheese bread.

Cast Party

The CHAW MT camp cast party is on 9/7. I am tired. I am wearing a Lilly P. polo, and Old Navy shorts.

CIU

We got back from SC today. I got a big bag of clothes from Betsy, and I went to an ice cream social, and the zoo. Grandpa took us to the CIU cafeteria, and it was really good.

The Show's Over

The 2008 Chaw Musical Theater Camp productions are over. The Thursday performnace was quite large, Friday was moderate, and today was large. Daphne, Reg, and Dad came today, Dan saw it on Friday, and Mom saw the dress rehearsal on Friday. She also came today. Also Mitchell came, but not to see me. Tomorrow I depart for SC. I am sad thst camp is over.

Say

I don't really have anything to say except that I am thinkingof taking tap lessons.

Church

Church was today. It was good. There were cookies and chocolate turtles for coffee hour and then we went to music lessons. There were also cheese puffs and salsa and chips and crackers at coffee hour too.

New Room

It looks like I will be moving into my own room today. Possibly. Maybe. And we are going to see Swing Vote today.

Excited, plus in other news...

I am sooo excited about the review productions on August 7th at 7pm, 8th at 3pm, and 9th at 1pm. In other news I like cookies, Daphne is coming tonight, and I get to where a blue apron for Do Re Mi.

Solo

I get to sing a solo for the camp production on August 7th 8th and 9th. I am Maria from sound of Music singing "Do Re Mi". The production is a review.

Camp

Today was the first day of camp and I learned 5 dances, and 3 songs. I already new the songs.

St. James

Happy St. James Day! Today was fun even though I had to carry incense. Lots of people cried at the end of mass, but I tried not to. I drank lots of soda.

Home

I am back home from PA. It feels good. I will call Lucia today to see if I can go to her house. Plus, Daphne called and she wants ro get together.

Alice

Today I saw Alice in Wonderland at Upper Darby High. It was pretty good. I had my signature sandwich for lunch, and had barbq for dinner. I also went to Bed Bath and Beyond and Whole Foods.

Beach Bum

I went to the beach today. I really rode the waves. Then we went to Gmas friends house and had chili and played cards. We also went to Caroles custard place. The waves were great in Sea Isle City, but I got a sunburn and there was lots of rain on the way back home.

School of Rock

Tonight we ordered from Bertucci's and we rented 3 movies: Stick It, School of Rock, and Ocean's Twelve. We watched School of Rock tonight and we gave it good reviews. We also went to Steve and Barry's today, which was extremely cool.

Hula Honey

I got a Hula Honey Tankini at Macy's tonight. i am real tired, so I'm goin' ta sleep now.

G-ma's

Tpday we are going to Grandma's House. She should be here any minute. In fact, she is 8 minutes off schedule.

Soda and Sitting

Today I got diet soda from Safeway and when I got home, I had a call from Cat wanting a babysitter.

Todaaaaay

Today I am going out to lunch w/dad. I want to go to China Buffet, ut Kolbe doesn't. We will just have to wait and see.

Musical Theater

I am eligible to go to a Musical Theater camp where my mom works. I think it sounds cool. I can sing and dance, but I can't act at all. Hmm.

Strawberries

It tastes good if you take frozen strawberries and nuke them til they are still cold, but they are mushy and there is juice in the bottom of your bowl. Yum!

More Tennis

Tennis is going very well, except for my serves. I am feeling fine today. Nothing to report... oh wait

Tennis

I got up early today to play tennis with my mom and my brother. It was fun, but I hurt my shoulder, and I didn't like serving. Although I did get a few volleys.

One Week

In one week I will be at Grandma's House. I will stay for 5 days. One day will be at the beach, I think. Kolbe will also be coming and Ed will be present.

Cookies

My favorite kind of cookies are the lacy ones from Trader Joe's with milk chocolate in the middle. They had them at church today, and they also had the dark chocolate kind. We just got back from church.

Grape...or Orange?!?!?

Today I went to Safeway, and I was going to buy a $00.35 soda, in my favorite flavor: Orange. So I put in my money, pressed the button, and waited. Then I saw that the "Sold Out" light was on. Then I pressed the Grape button and it showed the light but it gave me one anyway. Now I am drinking Grape Soda. Yay.

iCarly

One of my favorite shows to watch is iCarly on Nick. I like that show except Spencer always gets his feelings hurt and Sam is mean to Freddie. But Freddie's mom is Hilarious!

Sweaty

I went ona walk/run this morning and I am still quite sweaty! I am tired. Last night we watched "Failure to Launch", and I enjoyed it extremely. It was really funny. We had dumplings for dinner.

Shoulder

My shoulder hurts, so I am not allowed to play my viola. %{ I am very upset at this predicament, because i LOVE to play my viola.

4th of July

Happy Independence Day! It was funny, at Kolbe's b-day party Alaphia asked her if she had plans for Independence Day and she said "I don't know when that is" Then Flo told her "It's the $th of July" and we all cracked up.

Misc. Wed.

Today I saw Get Smart. It was okay. I am transferring music from my sister's piano book to my clef so I can play it. I had leftover pizza for lunch and I feel sad. I don't know why.

Tired

I am very tired today but no one will leave me be. Mostly. I feel like I haven't slept in a looooong time. I have, though. I am just very tired. I have almost 900 blog posts. I am glad.

Baby Sat

The babysitting went well. We colored, played Barbies, ate lunch and went to the pool. I made $45. Sis had a job today too but I guess it didn't go well. The family I sat for was nice. We went to the college pool and after it started to rain, we were the last people left. The others really missed out.

I went to meet some kids that I will be babysitting tomorrow. They were really nice. I am tired now, though.

Old Navy

Today Dad took us to Old Navy and I got white flip flops and a white shirt w/ a yello lady on it. Then I had potstickers at Friday's

Philly

we drove up to Philly today to drop off Greg at Grandma's. We stopped at Head Nut, though. Yum! I got Peanut Brittle, Sesame Crunch, and Cookie Dough Bites!

James

My cuz James is over today. He calls Wahoo "Big Bad Guy" and he does not like him. Oh well. We had Chick Fil A last night and I couldn't stop laughing at therapy.

Bike

I tried to ride mom's bike yesterday and I had a bad fall. I hurt my ankle. Practice makes perfect, though.

Jujitsu!

That is today's word of the day. Last night for supper we had borscht! ANd again for breakfast. Yummy in my tummy. And with butterflied chicken with lemon and rosemary for dinner.

Library Book

I still can't find my library book, even though I tipped over my bed to look under it. Today the library people called to say I have overdue material, and no one asked if I wanted help looking for it.

EAST COAST!

Woohoo! Today is Kolbe's b-day and our new priest came to church. It has been a pretty good day. Go East Coast! (Eastern Seaboard)

Produce!

Yay! Today we went to Larriland and picked black raspberries, red raspberries, blueberries, and BEETS! I LOVE BEETS. I ate 2 raw at the farm. Mom said it lokked like I killed something and then ate it, and Kolbe said I must've messed up my make-up. Baby James thought it was funny.

Hallelujah!

Today I withnessed a life being saved. Kind of.
Mom was mowing the lawn, and then she called us out side to see a hurt bird that she hadn't run over. We were sad, and Kolbe got a tupperware and we put grass in it and mom tried to get him into the box to heal and then he started to twitch and then he or she flew up into a tree. It turned out thaat it wasa just tangled in the grass!
In other news I am reading "Chalked Up". A very good book.

RE: Ikea

I found a really cool thing at ikea yeesterday. It is a dressing room in your room. Very cool.

IKEA

Today we are going to IKEA. I LOVE IKEA. It is so cool. Grandma says wehen she wins the lottery, we are all getting IKEA makeovers.

Ahh...

I slept better last night but i am still grumpy cuz this morning wahoo kept barking and whinihg and growling cuz mom went on a bike ride and they didn't do anything about it but then they woke me up and I had to do something about it.

I am very tired because last night I was at the sleepover and we ( 4 or 5 girls ) stayed up til 3 a.m. when everyone else fell asleep during th e== movie.

I am a grump because now it is summer. Boo-hoo. But we did get invited to a crabfest. Ha ha! It was funny yesterday, at the end of the day Aaron was sad that not enough people hugged him. Then I had to hug him again.

I am sad because today is the last day of school. I like school because it is fun and I love my friends.

LAST DAY!?

I do not want the school year to END. I love the school year and I love school because all my friends go tomy school(or they live far away).

School is Cool

Yay! Only one mo' day of school. On that day, no 8th graders are coming cuz they are going on a trip, and 7th graders are encouraged not to come, though everyone will be accounted as present. I am coming.

No school today because of storms. Hmmm. Does this mean that there will be school on Tuesday? Oh well, a nice lazy day today.

Tornado/Hurricane Warning

There was a warning today so we weren't dissmissed until after 4 and the promotion ceremony is supposedly canceled.

No Sub?

There was no sub in Orch. today so people acted crazy for about 20 min., then some went to the band room, and then I went to the office. Then I went to the band room where one sub was teaching 2 classes.

BUNNY SNACKS

I LOVE ANNIE'S BUNNY SNACKS!!! They are delicious. MY favorite flavor is CHOCOLATE CHIP, then CHOCOLATE! YUMMY!

Church

Church again today. For once in a long time my viola actually frustrates me! I am learning 1/2 position and I am very upset. Also my viola order hasn't come in.

Strawberry Fields 4ever

Today we went Strawberry pickin' at Larriland farm. 6 boxes and 60 lbs! There were 5 of us as well, Grandma came.

CONCERT

Tonight is my concert and I am soooo EXCITED. No te preocupas. Plus Grandma is comin'. BONUS!

Concert

Going to Greg's concert today. I think it will be fun, except it is in the school gym, which isn't air conditioned.

Iron Man

Today for snack I was supposed to have yogurt, but the only flavors left were Rasberry(yik) and Key Lime(not my favorite at all). I had key Lime. It tated fine if I ate it slowly. School was good today. Very very good.

Orchestra

Today in Orchestra was boring because about half the kids were in Canada. But we worked on audition music and I did well.

Church

Today I went to church and it was Trinity Sunday. Then we took Kolbe to Flora's and we went to the library. School is almost over for the year.

The Bay

Today I dropped a tear into the Chesapeake Bay. When you find it, I'll stop playing my viola.

Orchestra

Today I had Orchestra. During William Tell Overture Mr. G tried to tell us not to play the top notes for our part, but we played the low notes so badly that he let us switch back. Oh yes, it was career day and since I was a guide, I only saw one presentation, it was AJ's.

Career Day Eve

Yes, It is Career Day Eve. We are having meatloaf for supper. MMMMMM Meatloaf! My favorite thing. After my food log completion and graph comparison I have found that I eat the healthiest on Sundays. In other news, I practiced William Tell for 20 minutes this morning. Did you know that the violins are jealous because we have the fun part, even though they have the melody?

False Truths

Feeling much better today, thanks. I got an okay night's sleep and woke up dehydrated but I definitely feel like I have improved since yesterday. For instance, this morning I woke up not worried, and I felt like practicing my viola. Now back to the title of this blog: False Truths. What exactly is a false truth? Other than being an oxymoron, False Truths are sometimes a generalization or opinon, like the common thought that the Violin is the best instrument. This is a false truth because all though the violin is a very nice and well known instrument, it may not be the best. I certainly don't think that it is, but some people do. Maybe I am not explaining this very well(?). Oh well. Something else:
A few years ago, when I was quite young, a woman at church took me and my sister into the church hall after mass and pointed up at the stained glass windows. She told us that when you see beams of light coming through that angels were watching.
Hmm. No, this is not true. But yet, it is. Angels always watch, but they do not come through stained glass windows,
Also, when people say that when you see a cloud(rosin) come off of an instrument, it means that it is magic.
But all music is magic! And the cloud is just rosin.

Feeling sad today because I could be at the State Competition but I'm not. Lessons yesterday went fine. Practiced Canon a bit today. Then I feelt a bit less sad. I guess there is always next year.

Monday

Today is Monday. How quaint. Thursday we are going to Medieval Times. Also, Mr. G wants my trio to play on that day, 25 minutes before we are scheduled to get back. Hmm..........

St. Monica

Today is St. Monica's Day. I got to put the wreath of flowers on the statue of mary's head today. I was very nervous. Pollen is bad today.

Phlegm

I have had lots of phlegm this morning. I practiced Viola and Guitar for 45 minutes this morning. I am happy because J. Gopal is proud of me and impressed with our trio. I practiced Canon for 22 minutes.

Trio

Today my trio practiced at UM with my private teacher. I like my trio. I call them my brother and sister. I am glad it is the weekend. On Sunday I am going to put the wreath of flowers on the statue of Mary because it is St. Monica's Day. My trio needs more performance opportunities. Did I mention that I like my trio?

Wizard of Oz

Today we went to see The Wizard of Oz. It was good, but Dorothy was holding Toto wrong and almost choked him! They used a real dog for Toto. I think that the tin man, scarecrow, and lion were good, but Dorothy was only okay. She was being really loud. I think that the microphones were messed up. At the end she dropped Toto because she was holding him wrong and he was squirming. Two girls behind me kept talking and it was really annoying. They talked throughout the whole play!
